Why choose ZYROBLOCK for a Blown Film Line?
Secondary cooling device ZYROBLOCK allows higher throughputs in blown film plants that suffer for blocking phenomena creating an additional cooling stage after the frost line, which also removes the need of expensive anti-blocking additives and the risk of scraping.
ZYROBLOCK has been designed for production facilities with high environmental temperatures, and/or low ceilings that do not allow high enough towers to cool the bubble.
Today, however, with ZYROBLOCK‘s new patented technology, manufacturers can stop limiting the line output and save on anti-blocking additives, improving their profitability and production efficiency.
What is the secondary cooling device ZYROBLOCK?
ZYROBLOCK is installed immediately below the bubble collapsing frames. The air blowers cool the bubble homogeneously around the entire circumference and reduce the film temperature by up to 20 degrees Celsius.
The cooling capacity is automatically adapted and optimized according to recipe and environmental temperature.
ZYROBLOCK is equipped with arms that automatically adjust the position of the blowers around the bubble surface in each format. The relative orientation of the blowers in respect to the bubble is kept constant as the curvature changes by the Syncro patented technology.
ZYROBLOCK is equipped with roller guide elements and therefore can replace the auxiliary cage, but it can also be integrated in the primary cage achieving maximum compactness.
The advantages:
- Prevention of production rate limitations due to film blocking issues;
- Removal of expansive anti-blocking additives;
- Perfect cooling uniformity for all bubble diameters;
- Automatic bubble diameter adapting for all formats;
- Digitalized production: multiple sensors constantly monitor the film temperature before and after ZYROBLOCK;
- Adaptive automatic control of the required cooling power;
- Suitable for both new and pre-existing lines;
- Reduction of minimum required extrusion line tower heights.
