We’re on INTERNATIONAL PLASTIC PRODUCT SOURCE, PLASTVISION INDIA’s magazine

Below is an interview with Devendra M. Jadhav, our director of SYNCROPLANTECH INDIA!

What according to you is the current scenario of the Plastics industry in India?

Plastic industry in India is growing rapidly and giving opportunities of employment to Millions of people and is a major contributor to India’s economy. There is an upward trend in terms of local consumption and a strong export, at this rate India can become worlds premium supply hub. Government initiatives like “Make in India” “Digital India” and “Skill India” is helping boost the Indian plastic industry.

What are the recent trends in the segment that you are in?

Syncro Group is a global leader in the field of automation for plastic extrusion industry. Plastic Industry in the last few years is changing rapidly and automation is the trend for increased productivity, improve quality of product and to reduce waste and labour cost. Plasmac, our recycling division is dedicated to the Circular Economy. Demand for recycled material is advancing, looking at west, regulation imposed by government bodies are promoting usage of recycled plastic in various applications and the trend will continue here in India too.

What have been some of your recent innovations? Also, please explain its commercial success.

Syncro Group invest’s in R&D and have more than 20 patents. Some of our recent innovation is the new TYPHOON3, automatic air ring for blown film process designed for maximum cooling capacity, productivity, bubble stability, accurate thickness profile control and film quality. TYPHOON3 represents a true evolutionary step of the cooling ring,

justifying the ambitious expression ‘cubed’. Special internal aerodynamic turbulators (patent pending) make it possible for optimised cooling air distribution along the circumference of blower nozzles. YRONFLAT, Stand Alone Annealing System for Blown film lines, is an automatic flattening unit which heats and stretches the blown film, annealing it to improve flatness, bagginess, camber and curl caused by irregularities in gauge,

melt temperature. Yronflat significantly improves the performance of the downstream equipment.

EYES, precision web inspection optical systems for defects detection and in-line

quality control to improve the extrusion process.

EUR.EX.MA, entered into the Syncro Group in 2022, is focused on Laboratory and Pilot extrusion lines to scale up new products/recipes.

SBDRY, the latest company to join the Group, is specialized in raw material pretreatment systems with innovative Dessicant Dryers and Crystallizers.

What are the new application areas that your company has tapped recently?

We are providing equipment’s and automation solution through our group company Plantech-CST, specialising in the storage, handling, dosing and mixing of powders, granules and liquid materials for application across several industries such as Plastic, chemical, food Industry, cement and pharmaceutical. PLASMAC is the recycling division of the group which manufactures online and offline machineries for industrial waste recycling.

What do you think is driving the consumption of plastics in India?

Plastics have become a global commodity due to their remarkable properties and wide area of application and recyclability. With the growth in Infrastructure, healthcare, Agriculture, FMCG and Automobile Industry, plastics are becoming the material of choice for use.

In the next five years where do you see your company?

Our plan is to increase our reach and market share in the extrusion industry. With wide portfolio, we see ourself as one of the most reliable automation solution provider in auxiliary equipment’s, recycle and lab equipment’s.

Are you content with the current situation of policies and regulations in the country for the plastics industry? Or would you like to see a change?

We are happy with the current policies in the country and the vision of “ATMANIRBHAR BHARAT”. Industries should be encouraged for circular economies with a mission to help customers maximise productivity, minimise waste and reduce energy foot print.

How do you think PLASTIVISION INDIA can change the future of plastics in India? Plastivision India is one of the leading trade fares and provides a unique networking platform for the Indian and foreign participants. An excellent opportunity to asses’ opinions from clients understand market potential. This exhibition helps in promotion and marketing of the participating companies, new product launches and to meet potential buyers. More than ever, minimizing energy and raw material consumption are two key points that drive Syncro Group’s R&D division, which is increasingly committed to achieving the so called “Zero Waste Myssion”.

All the companies belonging to Syncro Group collaborate together through a unique synergy, with the aim of closing the loop of the Circular Economy, recovering and regenerating all products and materials at the end of the cycle.
