Plasmac Raises the Bar with the Latest Addition to Its Range of In-house Plastics Waste Recycling Machines.

Plasmac’s market leading, compact, energy efficient range of recycling equipment now includes their latest offering – the Epsilon, inline shredder extruder recycling machine.

Building on the success of its Alpha and Omega inline and offline in-house factory waste recycling machines, Plasmac is pleased to announce the launch of the Epsilon.  The Epsilon takes all the benefits of the direct extrusion Alpha machine and the shredder extruder combination Omega machines, and combines both concepts. The Epsilon is designed to easily process high speed inline trims, thick trims from high speed MDO (mono-axial direction orientation) blown film lines, skeletal waste from thermoforming machines and injection moulding scrap. 

Utilising the same dual diameter screw technology as its sister products, the Epsilon’s integrated shredder feeds material directly into the screw, where it is plasticised and repelletised using Plasmac’s proven short screw technology.  This screw technology gives its users marketing leading energy efficiency, the absolute minimum material degradation and a first class repelletised product.

The Epsilon can be configured to accept inline trims via the trim basket, off-spec scrap reels from a roll feeder, or loose and slabbed material or pieces via an elevator which can also incorporate a metal detector.

Due to its extremely flexible design, the Epsilon can be sized for outputs from 40 Kg/h up to 200 Kg/h, it can be equipped with Plasmac’s latest design of air Pelletising system or their proven range of water-cooled pelletising system – the Hydrocool Pelletiser, it can also be specified with a screen changer, either manual or hydraulic and with vacuum degassing for printed or hydroscopic material such as biodegradable films.

Finally, the machine is designed with Industry 4.0 in mind. The HMI can be connected to any Smart Factory system and it comes with Plasmac’s latest deep learning technology.
