Plasmac recently ran trials on PE containers for a new customer of theirs.
The Omega shredder extruder combination means all product fed in to the machine is pre-shredded, prior to being fed in to the extruder and repelletised. All forms of scrap can be handled on the Omega, large containers such as this product, down to film, start-up scrap, lump scrap, reels of film and even pipe.
Due to the unique shredder design, minimal heat and dust are generated meaning no cooling water is required to cool the rotor or transfer system, allied to Plasmac’s unique short screw technology means the Omega are incredibly energy efficient, have minimal water consumption and an excellent power to output ratio.
