Plasmac recently ran trials on LLDPE and metallocene PE stretch film on their new Omega Plus system.
Film can be fed in to the Omega via either the elevator with integrated metal detector as shown in this video, or multiple reels can be fed in to the machine via the rollfeed unit. The shredder extruder combination makes light work of the material fed in and produces an excellent quality recycled pellet
Due to the unique shredder design, minimal heat and dust are generated meaning no cooling water is required to cool the rotor or transfer system, allied to Plasmac’s unique short screw technology means the Omega are incredibly energy efficient, have minimal water consumption and an excellent power to output ratio.
